Dear Prof. Partridge:
\JI have read the paper on The Programmability of Ill-Structured Problems,
with considerable interest. You have obviously given the matter considerable
study and you come to a very interesting way of looking at the problem.
Rather than limiting myself to some generalities, it seems to me that you might
some constructive criticisms, so here goes.
My chief adverse commant is to the effect that you are trying to write two papers
and that you would be well advised to have one paper on "Some
Comments on the Programmability of Ill-Structured Problems" and the second
on "An Information Guessing Machine as a Device to Solve Ill-Structured
Problems". The amount of concrete information that you give on this latter
topic is entirely too meager to be very convincing and its inclusion rather
dilutes the force of your basic arguments rather than supporting them.
